YEAH! It is September and time for a Hawaiian Luau at Luther Memorial. That’ s right! Get out your Hawaiian shirts and Hula skirts and come to church on Sunday, September 12. There will be fun, food, music, games, and more. As always, donations of food (hotdogs/buns, Hawaiian Punch, Lemon Lime Soda—like Sprite, individual bags of chips, bottled water) and money for prizes. Thanks to the generous donations of the people at Luther Memorial Church, the cost of Rally Day is kept to a minimum.
Our worship service will begin at 9:30 a.m. Plan on attending worship and then registering your child(ren) for Sunday School. Please register, because they will get five free tickets to enjoy the fun.
Sunday School classes will begin on Sunday, September 19th at 9:45 a.m. This will be a fun year with more skits, crafts, and music to go along with the Bible Stories that we will be learning. To help with the skits, costumes will be needed to make learning more fun. Kits to make the costumes will be available to pick-up on Rally Sunday, September 12th.
Remember, Sunday School is open to all kids ages 3 through 6th Grade. Then for 7th -12th graders, an interesting discussion on faith in everyday life will take place in the Hide-A-Way each Sunday.
Fifth Grade students mark your calendars for Sunday, September 26th. You will receive your study bibles at the 8:45 a.m. worship service.
