Sunday School News

May is here, but when I am writing this, we are under a winter storm warning so I am not sure if I can say that Spring is here. That is what we get for living in Minnesota.

April was a busy month. We celebrated collecting 71 boxes of Mac & Cheese, 44 rolls of Toilet Paper, 41 rolls of Paper Towels and 40 boxes of Kleenex with a movie party. We enjoyed popcorn while we watched Alvin and the Chipmunks. We donated everything we collected to Neighbors. Thank you everyone for your contributions.

May 18 is the last day of Sunday School. The Education Team will be hosting an All-Church Picnic and Potluck and Carnival after the late service. It will be a lot of fun. There will be new and different things than at Rally Day. So please plan on attending. There will even be a cake decorating contest.

Also on May 18th the Sunday School students will be involved with the late service. We will be singing and helping out in other ways too. It will be great to see and hear all of our kids helping to serve our Lord.

This summer we will have Vacation Bible School hosted by Camp Onomia Counselors the week of June 9. This will be a fun way for our kids to learn about Christ. We are encouraging you to bring friends so we can have a great turn out.  More information will be coming.

I would like to take this time to thank all of the wonderful Sunday School Teachers for all that they have done this year.  Their names are:

If you see any of these great people, please tell them thanks. I want to also say thank you to the parents for bringing your kids to Sunday School. I certainly know sometimes it is hard to get out on a Sunday morning, but what an important example you are setting for your children. Thank you too to Mary George for all that she does to assist me to make our Sunday School program successful.

Have a great month and enjoy the wonderful weather, I know it will be here by the time you read this. See you on the 18th.

God’s Blessings to you and your family,
